Kernelor Corporation

Privacy policy

What this site collects, what we do with it, and how to ask us about a record.

Who we are

Kernelor Corporation (“Kernelor”, “we”) is a consulting firm in Quebec, Canada. The public site is https://www.kernelor.com/, with a French version under /fr/. kernelor.ca and kernelor.ai serve the same pages and redirect here.

Write to business@kernelor.ca or call +1 418 907-9302. That mailbox is also the contact for privacy requests. We have not named a separate privacy officer on this site.

What this page covers

This policy is about the public website: the pages you can open without an account, the booking embed, email, and the cookies we only load if you accept.

There is no client portal, no payment page, no newsletter signup, and no chat widget. If we later take on a mandate with you, that file is handled under the contract, not under this page alone.

What you send us

There is no contact form on this site. You can:

  • book a discovery session through the Cal.id embed on this site
  • write to business@kernelor.ca
  • call +1 418 907-9302

A booking is processed by Cal.id. They receive the name, email, and time you choose, and whatever else their booking form asks. We use that to run the session and to keep a short record of the conversation.

An email to business@kernelor.ca is handled by us. We use it to reply from that mailbox, to ask enough to see if the file is a fit, and to keep a short record.

We do not add bookings or emails to an advertising list. We do not sell them.

Do not put passwords, payment-card numbers, social insurance numbers, or health details in a first email. We do not need them to start a conversation.

What the site stores on your device

The cookie banner stores your choice in the browser under the key kernelor-consent: a version number, whether analytics is on, and a timestamp. An older key named cookieConsent is copied once, then removed.

That record is what lets the site remember Accept or Refuse after you leave. You can change it from the Cookies link in the footer. Clearing site data in the browser also clears it.

The rest of the site works if you refuse. Pages, booking, email links, and language switching do not depend on analytics.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 loads only after you accept. The property ID is G-1Z6ZNJ84BH. The script comes from Google Tag Manager (googletagmanager.com). IP anonymization is turned on.

If you accept, Google may set cookies such as _ga, _gid, _gat, and _ga_*. If you refuse, or if you open Cookies again and refuse, we try to delete those cookies.

We use this to see which pages are read. We do not use it to build an advertising profile, and we do not run ad pixels on this site.

Services that load with the page

These files load so the pages can render. They are not behind the cookie banner:

  • Plus Jakarta Sans, through Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) and the Web Font Loader
  • jQuery, from Amazon CloudFront
  • GSAP, from jsDelivr
  • the Cal.id booking embed (cal.id), on public pages

Those companies can see a request for the file: your IP address, browser type, and the page that asked for it. Their systems are usually outside Quebec.

Links to LinkedIn and to a Google Maps page for Quebec City only run if you click them. We do not load LinkedIn or Maps tracking on the page itself.

How we use the information

  • reply to a request
  • size a possible mandate
  • keep a short record of who wrote and what was asked
  • operate the site, and measure traffic if you accepted analytics
  • meet a legal duty if one applies (for example a dispute or tax record)

People at Kernelor see a request if they need it to reply or to run the firm. A contractor on a file sees only what that file needs.

The site does not make automated decisions about you. Bookings and emails are read by people.

Transfers outside Quebec

Google, jsDelivr, and CloudFront generally process data in the United States or other countries. Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25, requires us to say that.

We use those services because the typeface and scripts are hosted there, because Cal.id hosts the booking calendar, and because Google Analytics is the measurement tool we load if you accept. A message you send to business@kernelor.ca is also handled by whatever mail host we use at the time, which may store mail outside Quebec.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records stay as long as we need them to reply and to remember the conversation. We then delete them unless a contract or a legal duty says we keep a file.

Your cookie choice stays until you change it or clear the browser’s site data.

Analytics retention follows the setting on that Google Analytics property. CDN and host logs follow those providers’ own clocks. We do not control those clocks.

Your rights

If you are in Quebec or elsewhere in Canada, you can ask us to:

  • give you the personal information we hold about you
  • correct it
  • withdraw consent for optional processing (analytics)
  • stop using it, or delete it, unless we have to keep it

Those rights come from Quebec’s private-sector privacy act (Law 25) and, where it applies, from PIPEDA. Write to business@kernelor.ca. We answer in the time the law requires.

If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec: https://www.cai.gouv.qc.ca/. For a PIPEDA matter you can also write to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada: https://www.priv.gc.ca/.

This site is written for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to the mailbox is limited. No setup is perfect. Treat a first message as a public-facing note, not a vault.
